Measure your finger (paper strip or string)

If you don't have a ring as a reference, use a paper strip (or string) to measure the circumference of your finger and convert it to your ring size.

Cut a thin strip of paper (±5 mm wide) or use a thin string.
Wrap it around the finger where the ring will be worn. (Don't overtighten; simulate real comfort.)
Mark the meeting point with a pen.
Lay the strip flat and measure the distance between the marks in centimeters (cm).
Use your measurement in centimeters to find the corresponding size in the table below.

About the diamond

What is a natural diamond?

It is a gem formed by the Earth over billions of years, under high pressure and temperature. Each stone carries rarity and a unique history.

What is a lab-grown diamond?

It's a lab-grown diamond created in a controlled environment with advanced technology. It has the same composition and physical and chemical properties as a natural diamond.

Which is more durable: natural diamond or lab-grown diamond?

In terms of durability, they are equivalent.

Both have a hardness of 10 on the Mohs scale, the maximum possible, and behave the same way in daily use, meaning that virtually no other material can scratch them, except another diamond.

However, it is important to understand that the Mohs scale measures scratch resistance, not "indestructibility" or impact resistance (toughness). In other words: natural and lab-grown diamonds are not unbreakable – a strong blow, pressure on edges, or a sudden shock can chip or break the gem.

Therefore, what truly guarantees the stone's security is much more about the well-executed cut, how it is set in the jewelry, and daily care, rather than its natural or lab-grown origin.

Do lab-grown and natural diamonds come with certificates?

Yes. Here at Vangolden, we offer recognized gemological certificates for lab-grown diamonds from 1 ct and for natural diamonds from 0.30 ct upon request.
